Job description
Our client, is a special school in Leicestershire for boys aged 9 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We provide a highly effective and individual package of education, care and pastoral support to young people who may have had only negative experiences of school.

A safe, caring environment supported by high levels of staffing ensures each pupil has the opportunity to make progress and achieve their full potential. We are a good school with outstanding features and we invest, not only in our students, but also our staff by providing regular CPD opportunities.

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and dedicated Teacher to join our teaching team. You will work with our young people and help them achieve the best possible outcomes within KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will have passion for both subjects and will have a creative, inspirational approach to delivering the curriculum. You should have the ability to teach from KS3 to KS4 in your main subject and in the secondary subject you should be able to teach at KS3. We have experience of supporting staff through their NQT year and we would be happy to consider applications from NQTs.

We would also consider job share or part time applications. The successful candidate will have a good degree and some knowledge of specific learning difficulties and a variety of behaviour management strategies to support children would be an advantage.

If you would be interested in this fantastic opportunity send your CV today and call Jed Downing at Protocol Education 01162851615.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
