Job description
Protocol Education are looking to recruit an Maths Teacher for an alternative education setting in Wakefield.

The position is on a full-time basis beginning in September.

The setting caters for learners from an SEMH background who have been excluded from mainstream education.

Responsibilities:

• Ideally a driver
• Teaching or learning qualification
• Worked with vulnerable pupils in alternative education settings leading activities/educational based work
• Experience of dealing with challenging behaviours
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths

Person Specification

• Previous experience in working with young people on the Autistic Spectrum and with behavioural difficulties.
• Previous experience working in a school setting with SEMH & EBD children is essential
• Applicants will be required to have an enhanced DBS maintained on the update service
• Experience of teaching in a Secondary school.
• Team Teach training would be desirable.
