Job description
For September Start...

Our client is a special school for children Ks2, 3 & 4 with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) who often present with a range of additional complex needs. They believe that a school is a community in which we care for one another with patience and understanding, but also with firmness and discipline.

They are looking to appoint a SENCO with experience of teaching students with SEND and an understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies including behaviour for learning. This person will also be an inspirational English teacher capable of teaching Ks2, 3 & 4. The successful candidate will have the ability to bring energy to the department which will raise standards of achievement. This post offers a great opportunity to develop as a professional and may be suitable for both NQT’s and experienced practitioners from either Mainstream or Special Education backgrounds.

The ideal candidate should be:

1. Keen to develop and share their experience and knowledge of SLD, PMLD and ASD

2. A creative, flexible and adaptive thinker

3. An excellent team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humour

4. Experienced at leading a class staff team

5. In possession of an up to date DBS or be willing to obtain one through Protocol Education
