Job description
A Special Needs School in South West London is seeking to appoint an LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) to work alongside another LSAs and a PRU Teachers in their primary classes. All applicants must have recent experience working with children with challenging behaviour, in either a primary school or specialist SEND environment.

The school work with primary-age pupils who have been permanently excluded or are missing education. They aim is to reintegrate children back to mainstream primary school or support the transition to secondary school at the end of Year 6. By providing high quality teaching and learning to those pupils who need short and medium term intervention many pupils return into mainstream education.
The class involves working with Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils who have emotional social and behavioural difficulties.

The ideal candidate would have:

• A proven record of working with SEN students with a range of needs.

• A good understanding of P levels, Key Stage 1 and 2.

• Are experienced at working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours.

• Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application.
