Job description
SEND Primary Teachers wanted In Kingston Upon-Thames

Protocol Education are searching for experienced SEND Primary Teachers that are looking for flexible day to day work or long-term work in the area of Kingston Upon-Thames. If you have experience working with children with special needs such as server learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and speech and language difficulties then this role could be for you.

SEND Primary Teachers will be required to work with SEN students across all ages in our outstanding SEND schools. Successful candidates will be required to cover absences on a daily basis and will be expected to work both on a one to one or group basis with children with either SLD, ASD or speech and language difficulties in a specialised setting.

As a specialist Primary Teacher, successful candidates will need the following experience and skills:

• To have worked one to one and lead groups with children with special needs such as SLD, ASD and speech and language difficulties.
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
• Be able to differentiate work to support needs of children.
• Experience in personal care such as feeding and changing.
• PECS and Makaton experience is desirable
