SEND primary teacher

Protocol Education are working with a school in the Halifax area who are after a SEND primary teacher to deliver all areas of the curriculum to their students with ASC (autism spectrum condition). The students in the school are aged 11 to 18, functioning at primary up to functional skills 1 and 2.

The school:

  • Each student is provided with an individualized learning plan
  • Instill independence and self-confidence


  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons
  • Handle challenging behaviours and de-escalate situations
  • Behaviour management
  • Quickly build rapport with the students
  • Work as a team with other staff members


  • QTS
  • Experience teaching students with ASC
  • Have a nurturing and patient personality
  • Confident in handling challenging behaviours
  • Have an innovative approach to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
