A primary school in Peckham are looking for a versatile Teacher of the Deaf, to work in their deaf support base. This is a lovely and vibrant mixed school catering for pupils with multiple special needs such as sensory and or physical needs. The deaf support base provides pupils with small group teaching and additional attention and help. The school are looking for a Teacher of the Deaf who has a calm approach in their teaching and is willing to go the extra mile. You will be required to teach pupils with varying SEN needs, mostly affected by physical or sensory impairment. This role is to start immediately on a full-time basis.

You will be considered for this role if you are an experienced teacher of the deaf, still training, or willing to train or have SENCo experience or leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the below:

• QTS Status or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to demonstrate methods of assessment.
• Excellent subject knowledge of teaching Deaf students.
• Commitment and reliability.
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
• Able to provide two school-based references.
