We are working with an Outstanding SEND School in Wandsworth who are seeking learning support assistants/classroom support workers from September 2020.

You will be supporting students one to one and also assist within the class, developing sensory processes and encouraging social & independence skills. This role is demanding and challenging, but very rewarding. You will be supporting learners with a range of special needs that include Autism, severe learning disabilities, hearing/visual impairments and varying levels of behaviour in an outstanding specialist learning environment. As a teaching assistant you will be required to use a patient, calm and engaging approach to students, their learning and needs, and be able to work creatively and pro-actively.

The ideal person:
• Working in a similar environment or other experience of working with special needs.
• Resilience and patience, compassion and understanding.
• An ability to be proactive, creative and empathetic.
• To adhere to the school's policies and practices.
• Ideally you will be Team Teach trained (not essential)
