Classroom Support Mentor

A specialist college in the heart of Croydon are currently looking for classroom support Workers. The students are drawn from a borough which reflects a diverse urban community with more than 170 languages spoken with the age range of 7 to 14.

This College's provides a short-term provision for pupils to help them get back into mainstream schools. This college wants to give a tailored educational experience that sees and attends to the circumstances and needs of each individual child or young person. This then helps the students to progress academically and become successful learners.

This role will suit those who have a passion for young people and are patient. Children with severe behaviour difficulties normally struggle to communicate their feelings which can prevent them from moving forward, however with consistent, strong and firm support they have a great chance of thriving.

The ideal candidates for this position will have:

·Ideally worked with children in a safe guarded setting
·Flexibility - Willing to work across different age groups and classes
·The ability to create and maintain relationships
·Strong communication skills
·Ability to remain calm
·Punctual
·Reliable
·A good sense of humour
·Creative Personality
·Willingness to learn
