Job description
Protocol Education are working alongside a special needs School in North Somerset who are looking to recruit a learning support assistant. The role is to support children with additional needs in a classroom with high therapeutic needs and low numbers. The School staff are trained in Mapa which is a de-escalation technique used when working with children. The School are happy to train the member of staff in Mapa which is fantastic professional development.
The position requires a member of staff who is dedicated and able to commit long term due to the nature of the role and the students needing stable support. The role will be challenging and at the same time very rewarding working with staff who are passionate and caring.


The ideal candidate must:
- Be patient
- Be resilient
- Be tolerant
- Have SEN experience
- Be prepared to apply for a DBS or have an existing one on the update service
