Job description
SEMH Learning Support & Teaching Assistants - Middlesbrough Area

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?

Are you a positive, self-motivated, well-organised person with a can-do attitude?

Protocol Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with a special school for looked after children who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This role is to work full time during school hours 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Candidates should ideally:
-Hold a full driving licence and own a car
-Have experience working within a SEN setting
-Be committed, resilient and positive
-Have excellent attendance and punctuality record

Applicants will be subject to Protocol Education's child safety standards and background checks. We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education.
As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application through us.
