Job description
Protocol Education are looking for experienced learning support assistants to work in our Outstanding Colleges. The college are looking for teaching assistants to work 1:1 and lead small groups of students with special needs such as autism and physical disabilities.

As a specialist provision, the college require someone who is open about working in special needs and is keen to develop their skills with students with autism and physical disabilities. As part of the role you will have the opportunity to gain accredited CPD that include learning strategies, behaviour techniques and medical procedures.

No previous experience is needed, but working in education, care homes or residential homes would be beneficial.

This is a full-time support position up until the end of the 2018/19 academic school year, with a competitive salary.

Main Duties:

• Supporting students 1:1 with numeracy and literacy
• Assessing pupils' levels and ability
• Differentiating work based on students' needs and abilities
• Behaviour management
• Comfortable with personal care
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Liaising with parents and carers
