Job description
Are you passionate about the inclusion of children with special educational needs and disabilities?
Are you a positive, self-motivated, well-organised person with a 'can-do' attitude?

Protocol Education is looking for special needs teaching assistants to work in a SENd Secondary School in the Middlesbrough area on a day to day or longer term basis. Special needs teaching assistants need to provide a high level of support to children with a range of learning difficulties including ASD (autism), complex needs and PMLD, ASD and MLD

It is preferred for you to have experience of working with young children with special education needs. You will also need excellent inter-personal and communication skills, have the ability to work on your own initiative but also to be an effective team player. This is a dynamic and exciting post within a well-respected and high-profile team.

We offer CPD courses on behaviour management and other SEND workshops, including valuable qualifications in Team Teach, attachment theory, de-escalation and introductions to both SEND generally and ASD specifically.
