Job description
Learning Support Assistant needed ASAP

A well established school based in Chessington, Surrey is looking to recruit new Learning Support Assistants (LSA) ASAP.

The school is a wonderful SEND school who has both primary and secondary units. The school has recently finished constructing a new Primary unit allowing for the expansion of it's staff. This is a well run and lovely setting where you will work with pupils who have Autism, Downs Syndrome and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- 1:1 support to children with special needs, including social and emotional difficulties.
- Assisting with learning and social skills
- Taking instruction from the class teacher

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience of working with children in a permanent or voluntary capacity.
- Capable of following instruction whilst also using initiative.
- Patience, empathy, resilience and confidence.
