Job description
SEND Learning Support / TAs

Require to start mid November.

Protocol Education are looking for experienced learning support assistants to work with one of our specialist learning difficulty schools in Leatherhead. Within the role you would be responsible for working with children on the Autistic spectrum and would be helping them with completing their day to day activities whilst developing their education.

Working with Autistic children requires somebody who is empathetic, is understanding of ASD (Autistic) needs, has patience and resilience. Above all you need to be passionate about making a difference to the needs of young people.

This is a full-time support position and we are looking for the appropriate candidate to start ASAP.

Main Duties:
• Supporting students 1:1
• Assessing pupils' levels and ability
• Differentiating work based on students' needs and abilities
• Behaviour management
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Liaising with parents and carers

If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
