Job description
Learning Support Assistant Immediate Start

One of my schools have multiple LSA (Learning Support Assistant) vacacnies that are equired to be filled immediately after October half term.

A leading special needs school in the Chessington area has recently increased its student population and has plans to increase further. To cope with the increasing numbers and high demand of required support at the school experienced and dedicated teaching assistants are needed. The pupils in the school have a range of special needs including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

The ideal candidate the school are looking for

• Good sense of humour
• Ability to create and maintain relationships
• Excellent understanding of special education needs, in particular ASD (Autism) and PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties).
• Team Teach trained is desirbale but not essential (CPD can be provided)
• Makaton and PEC's experience desirable but not essential

The school have an impressive staffing structure that offers opportunities to succeed and achieve further qualifications including funding of PGCE.
