Classroom support Assistant

October Start

A specialist school for autistic and pupils with learning difficulties in Croydon area are actively looking for support workers with the ability to work with challenging behaviours, and autistic children between the ages of 11 to 19.

The school's vision is to give the community education which inspires and empowers individuals to do amazing and wonderful things. Their values are for their pupils to have ambition, respect, courage, pride and happiness.

This role will suit those who want to make a difference in a child's life. Children with special needs have their own way of seeing how the world works, different to most people and are so often misunderstood however with the right guidance and support they can achieve and succeed the same way anyone else does.

The ideal candidates for this position will have:

•Ideally worked with children in a safe guarded setting
•The ability to create and maintain relationships
•Strong communication skills
•Ability to remain calm
•Punctual
•Reliable
•A good sense of humour
•Creative Personality
•Willingness to learn

To work in this school, you need to be happy to support children in the best way tailored for their specific need. Empathy and good commination skills are key components to a successful candidate for this position.
