Job description
1:1 ASD Teaching Assistant needed ASAP

A well established SEN school based in Camden are looking to recruit new support staff ASAP. Previous experience working with children with varying special educational needs within schools or a specialist SEN environment is preferable but not essential.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Taking instruction from the teacher
• Working on a 1:1 bases with a child who has ASD
• Assisting with learning and social skills
• Previous experience in personal care is not essential as on the job training can be given to the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience and knowledge of SEN
• Experience in personal care
• Patience, empathy, resilience and confidence
• Capable of following instructions as well as the ability to use own initiative

Team Teach will be offered to all candidates within a 12 week period of working with us continuously.
