Job description
Salary: £65 - £70 per day (depending on experience)
Protocol Education are currently working with an excellent SEND Sixth Form based in Hammersmith and Fulham area. We are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant with SEND experience to join their college as soon as possible.
You will be working with children aged between 16 and 19 years old; each with statements of Special Education Needs. There are 80 SEN students in the Sixth Form. Their needs are not severe; however, the role of the TA is to provide the extra support academically and in line with their need. Strong academic skills are required to assist students at Key Stage 5 level (A-Level) . Other curriculums include GCSE'S and BTEC and include subjects such as Health and Social Care.

Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in mainstream school at GCSE or A-Level level is beneficial. You will be required to support students who have Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and MLD. Typical lessons that you will assist students with are IT, Maths, English, Business Studies etc. There is also administration work to complete; as students do not have a set routine and there will be periods in the day where they're not required to be on site or have lessons.
Your working day is from 8:30 - 4:30. There will be a 45-minute lunch break and 15-minute coffee break. Students will start lessons from 9am and finish at 4pm.
This is a long-term post for the entire school year.

Ideally, you will have the following experience:
·Supporting students with Autism
·Worked at GCSE and Further Education level in a TA role
Strong academic background; as the lessons the students will need help with will begin at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
