You will be working with children aged between 16 and 19 years old; each with statements of Special Education Needs. There are 80 SEN students in the Sixth Form. Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in mainstream school at GCSE or A-Level level is beneficial. You will be required to support students who have Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and MLD. Typical lessons that you will assist students with are IT, Maths, English, Business Studies etc. There is also administration work to complete; as students do not have a set routine and there will be periods in the day where they're not required to be on site or have lessons.
Your working day is from 8:30 - 4:30. There will be a 45-minute lunch break and 15-minute coffee break. Students will start lessons from 9am and finish at 4pm.
This is a long-term post for the entire school year.

Ideally, you will have the following experience:
·Supporting students with Autism

Strong academic background; as the lessons the students will need help with will begin at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
