Job description
ASD (Autistic Spectrum) Learning Support Assistant

Location – Harrow

Start – ASAP

Protocol Education are currently seeking special needs teaching assistants to work in a special needs school in West London as soon as possible. They are looking for a charismatic and empathetic teaching assistant to support secondary aged on the Autistic Spectrum.

The school in Harrow now boasts a newly built sixth form centre and Autistic Resource Centre.

If you are an experienced teaching assistant this will be an great opportunity to utilise all the experience you have gained, if you have little to no experience but feel you could make a positive difference to the children then this role is for you. Someone who can understand and adapt to the needs of the children, feel comfortable working and supporting students with ASD is urged to apply for this role.

If you are a recent graduate, teaching assistant, an ex teacher or someone looking for a new career get in touch and apply as this role could be for you.

The school has fantastic transport links, easily accessible by the District and Piccadilly lines and has plenty of space to park your car if you’d prefer to drive.

Your main duties will be;

• Support students with their work

• Manage students behaviour

• Supervising classroom activities

• Report back to Teachers about students work

If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
