Job description
Protocol Education are seeking committed, reliable and passionate teaching assistants/LSA's near St Albans to work in a special needs school which has a focus on ASD and/or PMLD.

Our roles require you to work 1:1 or lead small groups within SEND. If successful, you will be working with a range of disabilities such as autism (ASD), profound multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) or social, emotional, mental health (SEMH). Although these students have special needs, they follow the curriculum and mainly require support academically.

The school strives to meet the diverse and individual needs of its pupils who have special education needs and disabilities. Students with special needs travel from all around Hertfordshire to attend the school which provide education for those with autism and complex needs. Our schools cater for students aged between 3-19 years of age; due to the needs of the students our schools like to encourage independence and life skills within the learning.

It is fundamental that any candidate considering this position has prior experience working with students with special educational needs. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and caring attitude to work as you will be required to work in small groups or 1-1 with students. There is also aspects of personal care within the role, you must have displayed experience or be willing to learn the correct procedures in terms of providing personal care to the students in your care.
