SEND Teaching Assistant - Hambleton Area - Family friendly hours

We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in specialist setting based in The Hambleton area (DL8). This schools provides an education for students who can't go to a mainstream school, because of an additional need, illness or other reasons and would not otherwise receive suitable education. The particular groups you are working with will be either Primary or Secondary aged children.

You will ideally hold a Team Teach certification (not essential) or be prepared to train for one and have a passion for working with young people aged 7-19. The work can be very rewarding; however it can also be challenging to so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in the school. Many students have challenging home lives or have complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are autistic and some occasionally present with some challenging behaviours.
