Protocol Education are currently working with an excellent SEMH Hub within KS2 school in Stockton on Tees who are looking for an experienced Behaviour focused Teaching Assistant to join their school as soon as possible. The position will be based within a small class supporting KS2 children with emotional & mental health difficulties & challenging behaviour

You will be working with children aged between 7-11. You will be assisting more than one class, supporting several children across the school, rather than working 1:1 with any particular child.


What is SEMH?
SEMH stands for Social Emotional mental health - They are children who have complex health, social & emotional needs and require extensive support

Teaching Assistant support
As a Teaching Assistant, it is imperative that you understand that students with SEMH have varying personal challenges. You will over the course of the academic year help them to engage with their world and achieve their potential.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support students with communication their studies & keeping them focused. This environment can be changeling but building a rapport with the children is imperative.

You will need to be available to start immediately in September, as well as being able to commit to working full school hours, 5 days per week.
