With the recent announcement that came out on the 4th January some Schools have closed and are doing remote teaching. I currently work with SEN Schools that teach and support pupils who are vulnerable and still are in School. This means we still need Teachers and Teaching Assistants to help support these pupils.

Protocol Education are looking for SEN LSA's who would work effectively in challenging classrooms with pupils who need 1:1 support. The role would be full time working 08:30 - 15:30 and supporting teachers in classrooms. The classes are no bigger than 8 pupils per class.

The role will involve challenges such as having to restrain pupils and be prepared to use de-escalation to talk to pupils who are displaying disruptive behaviour.

Although the role may look daunting it also comes with great rewards, working in a well established unit and helping support children who need to keep engaged. You will be supported by a great team of people who will be there to assist in any questions you have, they also come with a lot of their own experience working in SEN settings and will be able to help you settle in.

The pupils are kept to a structure to limit the disruptions happening and it works really well, the attainment within the units is kept at a high standard and the school is monitored on the development of the pupils learning.

If you would be interested in working in a great unit and be given a great opportunity then please apply for this role.
