Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour in young people? Do you have a passion for supporting the social and emotional growth of children?

We are recruiting for a pastoral teaching assistant to support classes with challenging behaviour in a pupil referral unit in the Wolverhampton area.

In your role as a teaching assistant you will be responsible for ensuring that the young people are remaining in class and completing work whilst keeping them engaged. You may be supporting multiple learners in one class as additional help to the teacher; you may also be supporting students 1:1.

To be successful in this role you must:
• Be calm and caring
• Not take yourself too seriously and be prepared to have some banter with the kids.
• Be resilient
• Have experience of working with young people (including volunteering)
• Be available to work 5 days per week
