Are you a resilient and optimistic individual wanting to work as a SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) TA within a Primary School in the Kirklees area?

Are you available to work full time, Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30, starting mid September until January, with the potential for the role to be extended, dependent on funding,

This is an ideal role for anyone with previous SEMH educational experience, or those who come from an alternative background where controlling your cognitive thoughts are paramount - such as military, professional sporting or highly pressurised backgrounds.

The school prioritises a strong sense of calm and consideration for everyone in the building, enabling children to feel less at risk and more able to reduce the heightened anxieties and symptoms of trauma.

Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to:
• support young people with challenging behaviour and or SEMH (social, emotional and mental health difficulties).
• have previous TA, LSA or support work experience, ideally in a PRU or alternative provision setting
• be open-minded, positive and friendly to both staff and students
• be caring and show a professional manner at all times
