Job description
Learning Support Mentor

My client is a Primary school based in Hackney and they are looking for a KS1 ASD support mentor. You will be assisting in the development of two pupils with ASD and helping them reach a brighter future. Relevant experience required and the ability to carry out 1:1/small group sessions, other duties include supporting the teacher as well as handle various working conditions.

To be successful for the role you will need to understand and demonstrate a sound understanding of the support required for children with ASD.

Ideally you will:

• Have experience with PECS, Makaton, Team Teach. (Preferable but not essential)
• Has experience of working with SEN children.
• Have good communication skills with staff as well as children and parents.
• The ability to use initiative.

All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check and receipt of two satisfactory references.

Interviews will be commencing ASAP.
