Job description
SEND Learning Support Assistant - Merstham, Reigate

Multiple roles available with immediate interview.

The school we are recruiting for is a lovely SEN Secondary School who's pupils range from 11-16 years old. The successful candidate will have a resilient, empathetic and patient personality with the desire to help children fulfil their potential. The role would involve a combination of 1:1 support and general classroom support. Protocol Education have a fantastic professional relationship with this school in the Reigate area and would be able to arrange an interview to the right candidate very quickly. The school has a variety of needs including ASD (Autism), Downs Syndrome, speech and language difficulties and complex needs. All of the pupils in the school are Secondary boys and the successful candidate would have the opportunity to make a huge difference to the lives of children who otherwise have restricted limits.

The role:

• 5 days a week, term time only
• 8:30am-3:30pm
• Based in the Borough of Reigate
• Working 1:1 with pupils who have challenging behaviour
• Working immediately in an ongoing long term role

You must have:

• At least 2 years of working with autism and challenging behaviour
• You must be confident with the SEN code of practice
• Experience of supporting pupils of a Primary or Secondary aged
