Job description
A dynamic primary school located in the heart of Islington, minutes from King's Cross Station is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Learning Support Assistant to support students who require additional 1:1 support across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work with small groups, individual students and the whole class, it will be 5 days a week from 8:20- 16:00, you will work alongside the class teacher and the Schools SENDCO

The needs you may be supporting are;

• Maths and English Interventions
• Autism
• Speech Language & Communication Needs
• Dyslexia and Dyspraxia)
• Emotional Behaviour Disorder
• Down Syndrome
• Profound/Multiple Learning Disorder
• Mild/Severe learning disabilities
• ADHD

You Must;
• Have experience supporting Children with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis
• Experience with Makaton
• Experience with PECS
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
• Excellent team work and communication skills
• A high regard for inclusion and equality
• The ability to make a positive contribution to the school as a whole

Please note. We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
