A primary school based in the borough of Ealing are looking for candidates to support pupils with severe learning difficulties, complex needs and autism. The role requires you to work Monday to Friday (term time only) during the hours 08:15 - 16:00 and would be starting in the summer term.
You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who at times can be physically challenging and will require a level of personal care. It is important that you are confident with dealing with challenging behaviour so experience either in a professional or personal capacity would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a patient individual who has a passion working with children with specials needs.

To be considered for this role, you must be:

• Confident in managing challenging behaviour.
• Able to come up with creative approaches to keep students engaged with the learning process.
• Able to prepare materials for lessons as well as adapt current resources.
• Comfortable assessing a pupil's progress and supporting the class teacher.
• Able to provide a reference from the last two years working with children or vulnerable adults in either a professional or volunteer capacity.

An enhanced DBS is required by law to work with children, if you do not have one on the update service, you must be prepared to apply for one through Protocol Education at the cost of £40.
