SEND Teaching Assistant

A Well-resourced, successful and multi-cultural Primary school are looking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant, to work as part of their SEND Team. Located in the greater London borough of Hillingdon, close to West Drayton there are excellent transport links as well as available parking.

In this role you will be working with children who have Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the school. You will be an integral part of both the SEND team and the Year group to which you will be assigned; this will take into account your experience and what experience and expertise you have to bring to the role, offering you the opportunity to join a supportive network of friendly and hardworking staff. As part of the role you will be expected to take a lead on supporting students with SEND with a range of activities and interventions in areas such as math's, phonics and literacy so it is essential that you are confident in this area, this can either be from a strong education background or experience working in a similar setting.

We are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants who have experience of working with children who have ASD, in order to bring knowledge and effective strategies to support these students effectively. Supporting them to develop confidence and inspire a love of learning. People who have a pro-active, can do attitude and are flexible as the role requires you to work both 1:1 and in groups as well as being able to adapt to the changing needs of the children and the school as a whole.
