We are currently recruiting a motivated and passionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to support a range of Children with additional needs such as ASD, for a SEND school close to Sunderland city centre.

This is the ideal setting for someone who is passionate about working with Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and is looking to gain more experience and make the next move in their career.
This position is initially offered on a temp contract Monday-Friday 8:30-4 Term time only, however there is the opportunity for a permanent position in future if you are successful in the role. This SEND learning support assistant role is to begin immediately.
You will be working alongside the Class Teachers and the SENco, working with KS2-KS4 pupils. You will be undertaking targeted interventions with students working both 1:1 and in groups to support their learning and providing this specialist support to ensure that these children are able to access learning to the highest standards, ensuring that no child is left behind.
In order to be successful you will have experience of working with SEND or vulnerable adults or demonstrable experience of providing support to children who have ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).
We are ideally looking for people who not only have experience but have a caring, patient, self-motivated attitude to work as it is essential that you are able to build positive relationships and be able to take initiative.
You will need to have effective communication skills and a real passion for working with children with Special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
