Due to the effects caused by Covid 19 and multiple lockdowns, schools have seen a increase in challenging behaviour and are requiring additional support for their pupils. You must be educated to GCSE level and ideally have a degree, alongside this a patient personality, a positive outlook and a desire to give children the best possible start in their education.

A Behaviour Mentor is a tailored intervention role that benefits the mainstream and SEND schools we work with. It has been designed to help pupils with behavioural problems to reach their full potential. As a behaviour mentor, your role will be helping challenging students overcome their behavioural issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to. Should you have the ability to think on your feet and stay calm whilst dealing with challenging situations, you would be very well suited to this role!

A Behaviour Mentor works on a long term basis supporting students behaviour and learning inside and outside of the class. This is primarily a class-based position however it is very likely you will also deliver 1:1 intervention sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of student behaviour and learning.

To be successful for this role you will need:

-ID documentation - ideally a passport and driving licence
-Proof of address
-DBS on the update service - you can obtain this through Protocol
-References covering employment history covering the last 3 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
