Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Learning Mentor to join a specialist educational setting in Ferryhill. The school provides a supportive and structured environment for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and additional learning needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers, develop independence and feel confident in their ability to succeed.

What you'll be doing

• Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring and support
• Building trusting and positive relationships with pupils
• Encouraging engagement with learning
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and wellbeing
• Developing confidence, independence and resilience
• Supporting individual learning and behaviour plans
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to education
• Working closely with teachers and specialist staff
• Recognising and celebrating individual achievements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
