We are seeking a passionate and committed EYFS SEND Teacher to join our inclusive early years provision in Richmond upon Thames. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is dedicated to ensuring children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive outstanding support at the very beginning of their educational journey.
You will deliver high-quality, personalised learning experiences that enable children to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically within a nurturing environment.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning in line with the EYFS Framework
Identify, assess, and support children with emerging and diagnosed SEND needs
Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Deliver targeted interventions to support communication, social development, and early learning
Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with statutory requirements
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching within EYFS
Strong knowledge of SEND, including ASD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
Experience adapting curriculum and learning environments to meet individual needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
Desirable:
SEND qualification or additional specialist training
Experience working within a specialist provision or resource base
A supportive and forward-thinking leadership team
High-quality CPD and SEND-focused training opportunities
