Job description
Protocol Education are seeking experienced SEND teaching assistants to work in the Doncaster Area.

We currently have a range of positions available including: day-to-day and long term supply working with children and young people on the autistic spectrum. Other schools have opportunities to work with students who require 1:1 support both academically and socially. The ideal candidate for this role will have completed their manual handling training. Candidates applying for this role need to have previous experience of working with SEN students and have a strong desire and passion of making a of making a positive impact in the lives of the students. Experience with children and young adults that have autism spectrum disorder and other learning difficulties.

You main roles will include:

- Teach small groups of pupils

- Provide 1:1 support to pupils who require it

- Prepare materials and equipment

- Liaising with other teaching personal, parents and care professionals

- Some schools may also require you to assist with personal care including: feeding, changing and administering medication.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
