Job description
ASD (Autistic Spectrum) Teaching Assistant

Location – ROchdale

Are you someone who has experience with special needs? Looking to join a school with fantastic facilities and a dynamic team of professionals. I work with SEN schools in Rochdale, Greater Manchester and I'm currently looking for vibrant and engaging teaching assistants to support children who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

Although this would be preferred, you don't necessarily need to have had years of experience working in a classroom with ASD children. Someone who understands the needs and is comfortable working and supporting children with ASD is the most important factor.

Your main duties will be to;

• Support children with their work

• Promote positive behaviour in class

• Supervise classroom activities

• Work closely with the class teacher

If you feel that this role would suit you please contact Jamie at Protocol on 0161 200 8500 for further information or drop me an email on jdavies@protocol-education.com

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
