Job description
Are you an experienced a LSA living in Leicester? Are you keen to take on a new challenge?

Protocol are looking for experienced special educational needs (SEN) learning support assistants/teaching assistants that specialise in social and emotional behavioural difficulities (SEBD) or have a broad range of experience working with children with emotional behavioural difficulities (EBD). You would be required to support and help the development of social and emotional behaviourally challenged students aged 11-18 in our SEN Schools/colleges in Greenwich. Successful candidates will be required to support academic studies, develop students social and communication skills in behaviourally challenged specialised settings.

As an EBD/SEBD/SLD LSA/TA, successful candidates will need the following skills and qualifications:

• To have worked with students diagnosed with challenging behaviour.

• To have experience working within EBD/behaviourally challenged specialised schools in the UK.

• Excellent strategic & communication skills, the ability to use initiative and that can work well under pressure.

• Recognising emotional behavioural triggers and indentifying successful approaches that enable academic and social progression

• Positions are subject to an enhance disclosure barred service

Other qualifications are desirable:

• Team Teach/MAPA

• Positive handling

• Restorative justice

• First Aid trained
