Job description
A specialist school in North Tyneside for children and young people from 2-19 years with complex medical, physical and learning needs are looking for a number of enthusiastic and outstanding practitioners to join as Teaching Assistants for the new academic year.

You will be part of a class team and part of the role will involve planning and delivering intervention activities for individuals or small groups, working with other staff to evaluate and adjust learning activities and monitoring pupils’ responses and progress against action plans through observation and planned recording.

The role will involve providing positive handling for pupils, including the management of behaviour, moving and handling, feeding and personal care, assisting in the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies.

All we ask is that you hold a UK recognised qualification. We can obtain references from your previous employers and have or are able to undergo the processing of an enhanced DBS disclosure.
