Job description
We are currently working with a large alternative education provision for students aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties in the Middlesbrough/Redcar and Cleveland area that are seeking a specialist teacher to deliver English to KS3 and KS4 pupils.

The successful candidate must also be able to evidence the ability to work under their own initiative and should be engaging, versatile and resilient. Preferably have experience working within an alternative education or SENd setting. We are seeking suitable candidates with a genuine desire to work in the special needs sector, the ability to build relationships with pupils and those who have a real passion for teaching.
Responsibilities will include the delivery of high quality lessons in line with the requirements of the schools teaching and learning policy and supporting pupils in developing their social and emotional skills through challenge and achievement.

To be considered for the role, it is vital that a CV is attached to any application showing the following:

- QTS (either Primary or Secondary)
- Specialism in terms of Key Stage or subject area where relevant
- Experience in mainstream or SENd
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Team Teach training is preferred, but not essential.
