Job description
Are you looking for a change in environment? Have you got experience of working with people with challenging behaviours? Have you done youth work or supported in a mainstream class? Protocol Education are offering an exciting opportunity within primary PRU (pupil referral unit) in Newham.

The school is based near City Airport on the DLR for pupils aged between 7-11 years old. It is a creative and dynamic learning environment that strives itself on raising attainment and reintegrating students to mainstream at a high achieving level. The student's progress in English and Mathematics has been outstanding in the last three years and received awards due to the high quality teaching and the use of exceptional resources.

The students have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Many have been excluded from other schools and therefore strong behavioural management is key as well as the ability to build strong relationships. Praise positives in behaviour rather than focusing on the negatives is an important philosophy that the school holds.

This school has a supportive and dynamic environment with a lot of community encouraging this is a fantastic place to work.

If you are interested in this role please respond directly to this add or call the London SEND Team on 020 3219 7745.
