Job description
EBD/ SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for experienced EBD/SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within a PRU environment that focuses on tuning around the lives of their students.

The role:

If you thrive off a challenge and have an approachable personality, this role is ideal for you. The School is based Croydon and works solely with those that cannot engage in mainstream education due to sever and complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. This role truly gives you the opportunity to turn around the lives of our next generation for the better.

The ideal candidate

Experience and knowledge within SEN, predominantly with those that suffer from EBD

Ability to provide 1:1 and small group support work

Strong behaviour management skills

A Genuine passion for Education

Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills

An energetic and enthusiastic can do attitude about learning

Both a friendly and professional manor

Previous Experience - desirable

• LSA

• Youth Work/Mentioning

• Youth Justice/Youth offending

• Social Work

Background

All their students have severe and complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, SEBD, EBSD and statements of special educational need. Many have been excluded from other schools. The school provides a safe and secure environment. They provide one to one day-time support and a structured learning environment and, despite their challenging personal circumstances, their students make tremendous progress.
