Job description
Protocol Education Middlesbrough are currently working with a large SENd provision in the Middlesbrough area, to support their students and provide classroom based cover in the absence of the teacher. This involves working with those who have significant Social Emotional Mental Health concerns and ensuring that effective learning takes place. Many of the students exhibit challenging behaviour, so the right candidates will have excellent behaviour management skills.

• Are you beginning your PGCE in September and are looking to gain prior experience within the classroom before beginning?

• Are you a sports graduate or sports coach with a passion for working with students?

• Are you a Drama enthusiast who runs workshops and classes for young people?

• Are you a university graduate with a specialist subject who wants to begin a career within education before making the decision to apply for your teacher training?

If you fit into any of the above, then we would love to hear from you because you would be suited to the role of a cover supervisor within our schools.

Your role of a cover supervisor would involve the below:

• Leading the class, and delivering pre planned work
• Managing behaviour
• Safeguarding the students
• Engaging with the students and being proactive around the classroom
• Assisting students with any issues

Cover Supervisor work would be offered on a daily and long term basis, either as a full day or part day - the choice is yours!!

All you need to do is register with us! All applicants will be subject to mandatory reference checks and must hold a valid DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to undertake one at a cost to be met by you.
