Location: Kirkby in Ashfield
Contract: Full-time or Part-time, flexibility to suit you
Pay: Dependent on experience (PAYE, no umbrella deductions)
Start Date: ASAP and SEPTEMBER START

Are you the calm in the storm, the steady presence that helps pupils reset, refocus, and feel safe?

We’re working with one of our brilliant partner schools in Kirkby in Ashfield to find a confident and compassionate SEND Cover Supervisor who can step in, lead the room, and support pupils with challenging behaviour to get the most from their day.

This role is ideal for someone who understands behaviour as communication and knows that consistency, patience, and clear boundaries make all the difference. If you’ve worked with pupils with SEMH, autism, trauma backgrounds, or complex needs, you’ll feel right at home here.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising classes and supporting learning during teacher absence
  • Managing challenging behaviour calmly and confidently
  • Following set work and keeping pupils engaged and supported
  • Building positive relationships that help pupils feel understood and safe
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND staff, and pastoral teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with SEND and challenging behaviour
  • Confidence leading a classroom and managing behaviour positively
  • A calm, resilient, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication skills and a real team mindset
  • Education, youth work, care, or alternative provision experience is a big plus

What’s in it for you?

  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies, no faff
  • Access to our free online CPD and SEND-focused training
  • Ongoing support from a consultant who genuinely gets SEND
  • Opportunities across Kirkby in Ashfield
  • Referral rewards when you recommend brilliant people like you
