Job description
SEND LSA - BOURNE END

I am actively seeking a SEN teaching/learning support assistant, to work within Primary SEND school in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire.

The school is a Primary age special school which caters for children experiencing difficulties in Communication and Interaction. The role involves working with children on the ASD spectrum, typically with challenging behaviours and complex needs.

I am looking for someone with an energetic, friendly, approachable and patient personality, who has a real passion to help and support where needed.

For this role, you will ideally need:

• Be able to work either part or full-time
• Have previous experience working with children, or young adults, with ASD and complex needs
• Confidence dealing with pupils with different abilities and SEND requirements
• Cable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus with strong classroom management and on-going 1:1 support where necessary
• Good interpersonal and communicational skills
• Takes direction well, positively and implements it
• General knowledge / good understanding of ASD

This role is until Christmas with the scope to be extended into the new year due to expansion and potential to become permanent for September 2019


Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory references, as well as possessing an up to date DBS or be willing to apply for one through Protocol Education.
