Job description
Protocol Education are currently working on behalf of a specialist Primary School in Darlington who are in need of experienced Learning Support assistants to work with Pupils with SEN, specifically those with a diagnosis of SEMH (social and emotional mental health) or Autism, which regularly involves the management of challenging behaviour. For the right candidate this would be a full time role with the view of starting as soon as possible. Experience working with children within SENd is desired.
The ideal candidate should have:
  • A willingness to support children in their learning, activities and academic development.
  • High aspirations for all children and a desire to raise standards.
  • High aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development.
  • A qualification in Team Teach and/or effective de-escalation is preferred.
