Job description
SEN TA Required

Located on a quiet housing estate with surrounding playing fields and ample off-road staff parking, this small Derbyshire PRU was established for pupils between the ages of 7-14 who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school due to their behaviour difficulties.

All pupils, either in KS2 or KS3, are dual registered with their mainstream school; in Key Stage 3 they spend four mornings each week at the centre, while Key Stage 2 pupils spend every afternoon at the centre and attend their own school in the mornings.

Committed to helping pupils to return to mainstream school full time, this PRU are now seeking to appoint a SEN TA to support their pupils who come from across Derbyshire to attend this unique centre and receive additional support with their learning and emotional behavioural difficulties.

The successful candidate must have:
-A relevant level 3 qualification
-Experience of supporting children with challenging behaviour at KS2 or KS3 within either a mainstream or pupil referral unit setting.
-Current DBS (update service)

Here at Protocol Education, we strive to ensure that each and every candidate has an opportunity to find their ideal job. For a number of years, we are proud to have worked alongside fantastic institutions of learning (Primary, Secondary and SEND) to provide them with high quality teachers and support staff.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
