Job description
A large special school in Doncaster is seeking a teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have become disengaged in lessons.

All pupils at the school have mild learning difficulties and some have behavioural issues, therefore the ideal candidates must have experience in this field. The main duties of the role will be supporting pupils who have become disengage in learning for a variety or reasons. Applicants should be engaging and bring subjects to life in order to elicit their pupil’s interest.

Required qualifications and skills:

- Level 2 or Higher Teaching assistant

- C or above in English and Maths

- Experience working with children with a statement of educational needs

Desired skills and qualifications:

- Team Teach ( or similar)

- Experience working on a 1:1 basis with pupils with learning difficulties.

- Confident leading small groups sessions.
