Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism)

This role will require you to support pupils who have high functioning Autism between the ages of 5-19. The pupils will require support during all lessons. The successful candidate will be compassionate and nurturing yet still have the ability to find the balance between being firm but fair. The headteacher is keen to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children who have been diagnosed with Autism and Autism Training.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

• Have Autism Training
• Have previous experience working in a SEND school
• Experience supporting pupils who have been diagnosed with Autism
• Excellent communication skills

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
