Job description
Protocol Education are working on behalf of a supportive, mainstream primary school in South Manchester who are looking for a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with 2 children in Key Stage 2 with suspected Autism.

This role is starting immediately and is full time. Hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday. The role will be for the full academic year until July 2019.

You will demonstrate a professional approach and be able to take the initiative and work effectively with permanent staff and have the aptitude to form good relationships and be able to communicate effectively with parents and other professionals. It is vital that you hold a valid, recognised qualification and/or have had at least 6 weeks recent experience of teaching or supporting pupils with SEN in the UK.

You must:
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK in the last 3 years
• Have knowledge and experience in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
• Have up to date professional child care related references (covering the last 2 years)
• Have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service of be happy to apply for one
